Talk It UP

Using Social Media & Networks to Build Businesses and Communities
Published on February 21, 2013

I’m really looking forward to facilitating three seminars on social media and social communications at the summit. I spend most of my time consulting major corporations on social media marketing and speaking at conferences internationally - BUT my real passion is helping entrepreneurs on the frontlines grow their businesses and build their communities.

I was invited to get involved with I DO BUSINESS. National Summit by Flavio Caron of Aboriginal Directions. We worked together over a decade ago running a youth entrepreneurship program and incubator.

Today my team and I at Socialized! Agency work with corporations and organizations on four continents helping them use new media and social media communications to build community and create business opportunities.

When I looked deeper into what is happening at the summit it really resonated with me – it’s about helping individual entrepreneurs and also building community. I can see how social media and social networks can be used to connect everyone involved in this national initiative and amplify everyone’s brands and communities at the same time.

I’m looking forward to meeting all of you at the summit. With that said… don’t be shy – it would be great to hear from you via Twitter (@ShaneGibson) or have you hop by to my blog (http://socialized.me/blog) and let me know you will be attending. Let’s connect!
